In 2019 Paul Harfleet was invited by Qu’Art to visit Ottawa, Canada, during his visit he planted the pansies above, this film goes into the details of the plantings. Paul also showed work at SPAO: Photographic Arts Centre, in a collaboration with Deborah Margo, who created an installation of hundreds of pansies beneath a selection of pansy photographs. The artist also visited Perfect Books Ottawa to sign copies of his book, Pansy Boy, and with the support of Ottawa International Writers Festival presented a workshop at W.E Gowling Public School. He hosted a drawing workshop in association with MAX Ottawa. For International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia Paul read Pansy Boy to an audience, part of event featuring Jack Pine, Joanie Michaud, John Ian, River Wilson, Glenn Nuotio and Kimberly Sunstrum.
