Geneva & Lausanne
Paul Harfleet has had an ongoing relationship with Geneva since he first visited Everybody’s Perfect Film Festival in 2016, there he presented Les Pensées de Paul. For his visit he was commissioned to plant a pansy a day, throughout the festival, a short film of each planting was shown before each film throughout the festival. The film above brings all these plantings together. He was invited in 2017 to participate in annual a poster campaign that raises awareness of homophobia and transphobia. The poster campaign supported by the City of Geneva was launched at Nathan Cafe, where a film was shown and speeches were made, further details are shown in the video below. In 2018 Paul returned once again to show an exhibition entitled ‘Constructing Pansy Boy’ showed original illustrations from Pansy Boy in Le Phare in the centre of Geneva, the exhibition was part of a special exhibition program supported by Everybody’s Perfect Film Festival 2018.
